Hybrid vehicle and ecology

From several years, hybrid is a slogan that almost everyone has heard. However, not everyone knows what lies behind it. In short, hybrid is a combination of two types of engines.

Hybrid consists of two engines: electric and combustion. The work is divided between them in different ways, depending on the assumptions adopted by the manufacturer and technological capabilities. And yes - the electric motor can act as a more or less important booster of combustion unit (ie activated to work in situations where there is a need for additional capacity in the car), or act as independent drive. In the latter case, the liquid fuel motor acts as a generator, which supplies to its hybrid partner necessary energy. It is also obtained from the braking process. All this, of course, requires the use of advanced technology. Hybrid cars are so much more complicated than traditional cars.

What’s interesting - a hybrid at the time of formation were regarded as a temporary solution for cars on the road with a fully electric drive. Its construction was not possible due to the lack of properly efficient cells (batteries). The combination of the two engines allowed to circumvent this limitation and is a way of the automotive industry to build a bridge between the two technologies.
